Keep Calm Carry On

The British government designed this poster at the beginning of WWII to raise morale just in case of invasion. They didn't actually have to use it, but I think this may be great slogan to keep in mind for the upcoming LDT meeting next week.

I considered using this phrase as the title for my presentation. Instead, I went with the more pithy "don't panic" title for one of my slides. Either way, my message is the same: the IVD industry is robust and intelligent. We can take whatever regulation FDA has in mind and come out the other side of it better and stronger. Enough with the carrying on about how we'll never survive regulation — let's keep a stiff upper lip, straight spine and move forward.

To encourage adoption of this mindset, I've developed an incentive program — whoever comes up to me in the hotel lounge on Monday night and says these words gets their first drink on me.

I'm hoping to run up a decent tab and actually figure out who reads this blog.

Enjoy the weekend and get some rest. I look forward to seeing everybody next week!
